We're early for a very important date. By now you can see our theme for this week is Alice In Wonderland, you can think of it as an early Halloween guide!

So I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to wear but I knew I wanted to incorporate blue because that is what I associate Alice in Wonderland with. I saw this dress and wondered how I could make it more Alice like, then I remembered I had this flowy white slip and layered it underneath. It was such as easy outfit because to top it off all I needed was a black belt, black mary janes and a black headband. I felt like such a child in this and wanted to find a rabbit hole to fall into. Ok. Not really but I def wanted to have a tea party!

When Sara showed up at my place to take pics I had it in my head we were doing blue colored stuff, and then she walked through the door and we both realized we imagined it differently. I also have the Rodarte dress and shoes Sara's wearing, but we figured why not have an Alice and a Mad Hatter instead. I found this Bettie Page dress for $14 at this awesome resale shop in Columbus called Rag-O-Rama a few months ago and knew I had to get it. This is the first time wearing it and I think before I wear it again I am going to shorten it. I wish I had a 1950's hat, but I don't so I went with the funky headband instead. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, I feel like I look a little 'Mad', but Johnny Depp does it way better.

Any of you planning on seeing the movie this Friday?

Thanks for stopping in!

  1. This is so inspired! I love both of the outfits. First of all Sara, I didn't even recognize the Rodarte dress at first, you did such a wonderful job styling it uniquely. And , Lindsaythe Bettie Page dress is so cute! Both of you did your hair and accessorized each look so well. My favorite pick has to be the last.

  5. AHH! That polka dot dress is divine. My husband said I should work on bringing veils back. This is the perfect example of it being done well.
