Simply Summer

I remember my pops telling me when I was a kid how back in the day during summer in the south everyone wore white to fight the heat since there was no AC. Well it may be 2010 but this little lady doesn't have AC either so I am left to fight the heat just as my relatives did during those humid summers. And let me tell ya it has been soo humid in the OH lately. Now don't get me wrong I love humidity just as much as the next girl with southern roots but this heat wave it kind of taking a tole on me - cut to my outfit. I tried to wear all white/ the lightest clothes possible so I would catch a breeze and not a sweat. Plus what is more summer than a crisp white shirt tied at the waist I may ask? Answer: not a lot. The hat was just a nice topper on a wet head because there is nothing worse than drying your hair with no AC and humidity in the mix. Gross. However it is lovely to sleep with the windows open at night and catch that nice summer air.
