No outfit post today because I am stuck in my apartment trying to tidy up my life via cleaning out my closet (a monthly occurrence) and working on my resume. While working on these things I like to have something going on in the background. Yesterday I watched "The September Issue" and it got me thinking about my favorite movies dealing with fashion. Here is my quick list of favs:
The September Issue : As I was saying I just watched this the other day and it amazed me. It gives a great insider view of the world of Vogue and how everything clicks together. Anna Wintour has a great presence and eye on everything. And she still manages to intimate me even through the TV screen.
Marc Jacobs Louis Vuitton : One of my favorite fashion documentaries ever. If anyone knows me they know that I am a big fan of Mr. Jacobs and this documentary just made me adore him even more. To be able to see him pull three different collections together from one mind, with the help of many people, it is just too good. One of my favorite scenes is when one of his sewers is so excited to meet him and MJ comes over and is nothing but nice, its really sweet to watch.
Confessions of a Shopaholic: I love everything about this movie - NYC, Isla Fisher, the clothes, John Goodman! The list goes on. Plus give me anything styled by Pat Field and will watch it until I wear it out. I love seeing how she puts everything together and just makes it work. This movie is so sweet and honest. I think all of us bloggers have some shopaholic moments every once in a while, for me it's at least once a week!
So here I bring you some of my favorites that you might want to check if you already haven't or dust if off your shelf and pop it into the ol' DVD player.
Thanks for stopping by guys!
